Director

Billi Jo Lombardo is the Executive Director of DreamBuilders Network and DreamBuilders Early Learning Center. With more than 20 years of experience working with children and families, she has dedicated her career to creating inclusive, nurturing environments where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. She is also endorsed by the Pennsylvania Association for Infant Mental Health as an Infant Family Associate (PA-AIMH).

Growing up in a family that fostered and adopted children, Miss Billi Jo has always had children at the center of her life. Those experiences helped shape her belief that every child deserves individualized support, meaningful relationships, and the freedom to explore through play. She loves children’s energy, their endless desire to learn, and their honesty—even when it hurts a little!

​

Drawing on her experience in early childhood education and Early Intervention, Miss Billi Jo is especially passionate about children’s social and emotional development. She loves helping children discover who they are, recognize what they can do, and celebrate every accomplishment along the way. Whether through messy play, sensory experiences, imaginative exploration, or everyday conversations, she believes some of the most meaningful learning happens through play.

Her favorite age group is whichever one she is with at the moment! She appreciates how different and exciting every developmental stage can be. Above all, she wants every child who enters DreamBuilders to feel loved, accepted, appropriately challenged, and completely at home. She also wants parents and caregivers to know that their child’s safety, development, and well-being will always be a priority.

Miss Billi Jo often says that DreamBuilders chose her. DreamBuilders was created to fill gaps in care and services within the community and provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for children of all abilities and backgrounds. She is committed to removing barriers and helping every child build a strong foundation for lifelong success.

​

Outside of DreamBuilders—when she remembers that such a thing exists—Miss Billi Jo loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and dad. She enjoys landscaping around her pond, spending time in the woods, and caring for her many aquariums. Her family also includes four dogs—Meeka, Princess Leia, Sam, and Sally—two cats named Muppet and Elliot Mabel, more fish tanks than any one family probably needs, and two beehives that provide delicious honey. Four of those fish tanks can even be found in her office at DreamBuilders!

“I want families to know that their child will never be just another name on a classroom list. Every child deserves access to high-quality early childhood education and a place where they feel safe, understood, supported, and loved.

I believe families are an essential part of a child’s team. I will always value your knowledge of your child, listen to your concerns, celebrate your child’s progress, and work alongside you through challenges. Families should never feel as though they have to navigate those moments alone.

My hope is that DreamBuilders will truly become your child’s home away from home—a place where they are free to be themselves, encouraged to grow, and celebrated for exactly who they are. We are here to be your village.”
